The more crap changes...

This picture was recently featured on The Pioneer Woman's photo contest on "America".  Caveat: it's not mine. 
The owner of the photo wrote about it:
This photo is scanned. It is of my Grandmother taken sometime in the 1940's. She is working on a quilt, made from worn out clothing. Nothing is more American than the art of quilting.
I love it for a different reason than you might think.  It's not for the nostalgia of quilting or for her apron.  Nor is it for the composition or the crinkled print.

Nope, I love it because her counter is covered to the edges with crap. 





I completely identify with Althea.
